Use prep labels for fillings, sauces and other food made ahead of service. For a supplier pack you have opened, print an ingredient label. There is no separate opened label type.
Sandwiches or salad pots packed before a customer chooses them may fall under PPDS requirements, depending on how they are made and sold. Save the full recipe and use the PPDS workflow for applicable products.
Bread, dressings and spreads can contain ingredients that need to appear in the finished product’s information. Review the actual supplier pack and keep that information connected to the menu item.
Generate an allergen matrix from your saved items and review it with the team. Keep it current when fillings or suppliers change.
A short prep label and a packed sandwich label make a useful first test pair. Print both on the proposed stock and check readability before producing a batch.
